It’s also something your weight management or diabetes care team may recommend to help cover nutritional gaps in your diet.

    However, this supplement lacks independent third-party testing. It should also not be used by people who have had bariatric surgery.

      The tablets are small, and only one is required each day. This product isn’t third-party tested, but Centrum is a reputable brand, and it also comes recommended by Vocca. It contains added artificial colors, and also contains soy — so it’s not a good choice for people with soy allergies.

Plus, this is an affordable option for a daily pack that contains several supplements, costing less than $1 per day.

        Calcium and vitamin D are two nutrients that GLP-1 users may not get enough of in their diet, and magnesium can help support improved sleep, relaxation, and digestion. Vitamin B12 is important for energy metabolism, and levels tend to decline over time in GLP-1 users.

        Several of the supplements in this pack, when purchased individually, are third-party verified by United States Pharmacopeia (USP), but it’s not clear if the contents of the daily packs are USP verified. Additionally, this product isn’t vegan-friendly because it contains gelatin.

          One drawback of this supplement regimen is that it costs more than $100 per month, which may be too expensive for many. The protocol also requires you to take three multivitamin capsules and two omega-3 softgels per day, for a total of five pills daily.

I like these multivitamins, but I find that they do have a fishy taste from the algae-based omega-3s. This multivitamin also contains nine nutrients — less than most GLP-1 targeted multis, which contain upward of 20.

They’re available in a citrus berry flavor and are sweetened with sugar and colored with natural vegetable extracts. These supplements are also affordable, at less than $10 for a 45-day supply.

          One drawback of gummy vitamins, however, is that they typically contain smaller doses of nutrients than tablets or capsules. These Vitafusion gummies are also not third-party tested, although Vitafusion is a well-known national brand.

            However, digestive enzymes and probiotics may make it easier to digest your food and promote a healthier gut microbiome, helping to reduce digestive discomfort, though research on this is limited and has not included human trials.

            Replenza also contains 22 vitamins and minerals, along with ashwagandha, which may help promote relaxation. Note, however, that there’s a possibility that ashwagandha can reduce blood sugar levels, having an additive effect with GLP-1 medications that are taken for type 2 diabetes. If you have type 2 diabetes, it may be best to speak with your doctor before you start Replenza.

            Replenza is also third-party certified by NSF. However, it contains wheat and soy, so it’s not appropriate for people with wheat allergies, soy allergies, or gluten intolerance. During our research, we found that the tablets are also large and can be difficult to swallow.

            It doesn’t contain some nutrients of concern for GLP-1 users, like iron or calcium. Based on our research, they may have a strong smell and taste.

            To choose the best multivitamins for GLP-1 support, I first spoke with several registered dietitians who work with clients taking GLP-1 medications for weight loss or diabetes management:

            These dietitians shared the most important nutritional considerations for people taking GLP-1s and which nutrients may be most important for them to supplement. They also provided advice on choosing a multivitamin brand and specifically recommended multivitamins that were third-party tested for quality and didn’t contain abnormally high levels of any nutrients.

            Based on the information they provided and my own research into GLP-1 medications and nutritional concerns, I narrowed down a list of options from reputable brands, brands that I’ve personally tested and trust, brands and products that are highly recommended by dietitians, and products that were designed specifically for people taking GLP-1 medications.

            What to Look for When Buying Multivitamins for GLP-1 Support

            Ready to buy? Here are a few important things to consider as you shop for multivitamins for GLP-1 support.

            • Third-Party Testing The U.S. Food and Drug Administration doesn’t require testing of supplements before they can be sold, so third-party testing offers a way to ensure quality.

              “Independent testing helps ensure the supplement contains what the label states, and reduces the risk of contaminants, which improves overall safety and quality,” Brown says.
            • Reasonable Quantities of Nutrients Many multivitamins contain extremely large quantities of vitamins. These megadoses often aren’t necessary, and in some cases could even be dangerous if they exceed the tolerable upper intake level.

               While it’s normal to see high-dose B vitamins in supplements, it’s best to avoid multivitamins that contain other vitamins or minerals in excess of your daily needs.
            • Affordability If you’ll be taking a multivitamin for a while, you’ll need to pick one that’s a good fit for your budget. Fortunately, there are great options at every price level. Centrum and Nature Made, for example, are typically very affordable.
            • Ease of Use The best multivitamin is one that you’ll take consistently. For some people, that may mean choosing a liquid or gummy formulation, rather than a pill. It could also mean choosing a once-daily formulation, rather than a multivitamin that requires two or more pills per day.

            What Are the Biggest Nutrition Concerns for People Taking GLP-1s?

            Proper nutrition is extremely important for people taking GLP-1 medications. Here are some of the major concerns that can be optimized through a healthy diet or supplement use:

            • Diet Quality Because you’re eating less on a GLP-1, it’s important to prioritize nutrient density. “You should aim to build meals around high-quality protein, fiber-rich carbohydrates, and healthy fats whenever possible,” Brown says.
            • Side Effect Management GLP-1s may cause digestive side effects like nausea, vomiting, or constipation. “Consuming small, frequent meals and limiting high-fat, fried, or greasy foods can help reduce these side effects,” Vocca says.
            • Hydration You may also feel less thirsty on a GLP-1, according to Lee. She emphasizes the importance of drinking plenty of fluids to stay well hydrated.
            • Micronutrient Intake It can be difficult to get enough vitamins and minerals when your appetite is significantly reduced on a GLP-1. All of the experts we spoke with agree that a multivitamin can be a helpful addition to help fill nutrient gaps, but it’s still important to eat a balanced, varied diet.
            • Muscle Loss Quick weight loss can also result in a loss of muscle mass, according to Vocca. This can be counteracted with adequate protein intake and resistance exercises like weight lifting or body-weight training.

            Which Specific Nutrients Are Important for People Taking GLP-1s?

            GLP-1 therapy is still relatively new, so it’s taken time for researchers to collect sufficient data to identify and track nutrition trends. However, a 2026 study investigating the nutrition status of more than 480,000 adults on GLP-1s found that certain nutrients may require extra attention for people taking these drugs.

            These include:
            • Vitamin D Vitamin D was the most common nutrient deficiency noted in GLP-1 users. “This is a nutrient I monitor very closely,” Brown notes, “especially when overall intake is reduced.”
            • Iron Roughly 60 percent of GLP-1 users in this study didn't consume enough iron.
            • Calcium Likewise, 60 percent of GLP-1 users didn’t consume the recommended amount of calcium each day.
            • B Vitamins In this study, researchers noted that thiamin (vitamin B1) and vitamin B12 levels tended to decline over time with continued GLP-1 therapy.

            Note that not every multivitamin contains all of these nutrients. Some formulas exclude iron (often by design), and calcium is frequently omitted or included in smaller amounts. B vitamins can also vary by formula — for example, a product may include B12 but not thiamin (B1) — so it’s important to review labels carefully and choose a supplement that aligns with your individual needs.

            The supplements you need depend largely on your personal goals and health status. However, evidence suggests that vitamin D, iron, calcium, and B vitamins may be worth supplementing for many people taking GLP-1s.
