What is the most important information I should know about Tryptyr (Ophthalmic)?
You should not use acoltremon ophthalmic if you are allergic to it.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Side Effects
What are the side effects of Tryptyr (Ophthalmic)?
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficult breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Call your doctor at once if you have:
- signs of eye infection--swelling, redness, severe discomfort, crusting or drainage.
Common side effects may include:
- eye pain (where the drops are used); or
- stinging or burning after using the eye drops.

What drugs and food should I avoid while taking Tryptyr (Ophthalmic)?
Avoid wearing contact lenses while inserting the eye drops. Wait for 15 minutes before putting your lenses in.
Dosage Guidelines & Tips
How to take Tryptyr (Ophthalmic)?
Use Tryptyr (Ophthalmic) exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
Follow all directions on your prescription label and read all medication guides or instruction sheets. Use the medicine exactly as directed.
Do not use while wearing contact lenses. Use the medicine at least 15 minutes before inserting your contact lenses.
Wash your hands before using eye medication.
To apply the eye drops: Pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket and squeeze a drop into this pocket. Close your eyes for a few seconds.
It is usually given as 1 drop in each affected eye twice daily. Use immediately after opening the vial.
Wait at least 5 minutes before using any other eye drops.
Do not touch the dropper tip or place it directly on your eye. A contaminated dropper can infect your eye and lead to serious vision problems.
Store this medicine in the original foil pouch in the refrigerator or at room temperature, in an upright position and tightly closed. If kept at a room temperature, use within 30 days. Do not use after the expiration date.
Throw the medicine away after 7 days of first opening the foil pouch, even if there is still medicine left inside.
Skip the missed dose and use your next dose at the regular time. Do not use two doses at one time.
