Guselkumab is used alone or in combination with other medicines in adults and children 6 years of age and older who weigh at least 40 kg to treat active psoriatic arthritis.
Guselkumab is also used to treat adults and children 6 years of age and older who weigh at least 40 kg with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis who may also receive phototherapy or other treatments for psoriasis.
Guselkumab is used in adults to treat moderately or severely active ulcerative colitis or active Crohn's disease.
Guselkumab may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

What is the most important information I should know about Tremfya Pen Induction Pack For Crohn's Disease (Subcutaneous)?
You should not use guselkumab if you are allergic to it or any of its ingredients.
Before you start using guselkumab, tell your doctor if you have any signs of infection such as fever, chills, sweating, muscle pain, stomach pain, diarrhea, cough, shortness of breath, bloody mucus, weight loss, redness, warmth, painful sores on your skin, increased urination, burning when you urinate.
Tell your doctor if you have or have ever had:
- an active or chronic infection;
- tuberculosis, been exposed to tuberculosis, or if you recently traveled; or
- recently received or are scheduled to receive any vaccine.
Make sure you are current on all vaccines before you start using guselkumab.
It is not known if guselkumab will harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
If you are pregnant, your name may be listed on a pregnancy registry to track the effects of guselkumab on the baby.
Ask your doctor if it is safe to breastfeed while using this medicine.

What are the side effects of Tremfya Pen Induction Pack For Crohn's Disease (Subcutaneous)?
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficult breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
You may get infections more easily, even serious or fatal infections. Call your doctor right away if you have signs of infection such as:
- fever, chills, sore throat;
- mouth sores, red or swollen gums;
- pale skin, easy bruising, unusual bleeding; or
- chest discomfort, wheezing, dry cough or hack, rapid weight loss.
Call your doctor at once if you have:
- signs of tuberculosis--fever, cough, night sweats, loss of appetite, weight loss, and feeling very tired; or
- liver problems--nausea, vomiting, stomach pain (upper right side), itching, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes).
Common side effects may include:
- fever, headache, feeling tired;
- upset stomach, diarrhea, vomiting (stomach flu symptoms);
- cold sores around your mouth, skin sores or blisters, itching, tingling, burning pain in your thigh or lower back;
- cold symptoms such as stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat;
- skin rash;
- bronchitis;
- fungal skin infection; or
- pain, bruising, swelling, or irritation where the medicine was injected.

What drugs and food should I avoid while taking Tremfya Pen Induction Pack For Crohn's Disease (Subcutaneous)?
Avoid receiving a "live" vaccine while you are being treated with guselkumab. Live vaccines may include measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), varicella (chickenpox), nasal flu vaccine, and others.

How to take Tremfya Pen Induction Pack For Crohn's Disease (Subcutaneous)?
Use Tremfya Pen Induction Pack For Crohn's Disease (Subcutaneous) exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
Follow all directions on your prescription label and read all medication guides or instruction sheets. Use the medicine exactly as directed.
Before you use guselkumab, your doctor may test you for tuberculosis or other infections.
Guselkumab is given as an infusion into a vein. A healthcare provider will give you this injection.
Guselkumab may also be injected under the skin. A healthcare provider may give you this injection or may teach you or your child's caregiver how to properly use this medicine.
Your doctor will determine how long to treat you with guselkumab.
Read and carefully follow any Instructions for Use provided with this medicine on how to prepare and use One-Press injector, prefilled syringe, or prefilled pen. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you or your caregiver don't understand all instructions.
Do not shake the medicine. Prepare an injection only when you are ready to give it. Call your pharmacist if the medicine looks cloudy, has changed colors or has particles in it.
Your healthcare provider will show you or your caregiver where to inject guselkumab. Avoid injecting within 2 inches of your navel (belly button) or into skin that is tender, thick, hard, red, bruised, scaly, has scars, stretch marks or affected by psoriasis. Do not inject into the same place two times in a row.
You may get infections more easily, even serious or fatal infections. You will need frequent medical tests.
You will also need frequent blood tests to check your liver function.
Each One-Press injector, prefilled syringe, or prefilled pen is for one use only. Throw away after one use, even if there is still medicine left inside. Place it in a puncture-proof "sharps" container and dispose of it following state or local laws. Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
Store this medicine in the original carton in the refrigerator. Protect from light and do not freeze.
Take the medicine out of the refrigerator and let it reach room temperature for 30 minutes before using. Do not remove the needle cap until you are ready to give the injection, and use the medicine within 5 minutes after removing the cap.
Use the medicine as soon as you remember and then go back to your regular schedule. Do not use two doses at one time.
