Suzetrigine is a non-narcotic pain medicine used to treat moderate to severe acute pain in adults.

What is the most important information I should know about Suzetrigine (Oral)?
Some drugs should not be used with suzetrigine. Your treatment plan may change if you also use certain other medicines for infections, seizures, birth control, high cholesterol, organ transplant rejection, prevention of nausea and vomiting, HIV, high blood pressure or heart problems.
Tell your doctor if you have or have ever had:
- liver disease.
It may be harder for you to get pregnant while you are using this medicine. Talk to your doctor if you plan to get pregnant.
Suzetrigine can make certain hormonal birth control with progestins, other than levonorgestrel or norethindrone, less effective. Use either additional barrier birth control or an alternative hormonal birth control while using this medicine and for at least 28 days after your last dose.
It is not known if suzetrigine will harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
Ask a doctor if it is safe to breastfeed while using this medicine.
Side Effects
What are the side effects of Suzetrigine (Oral)?
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficult breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Less serious side effects may be more likely, or you may have none at all.
Common side effects may include:
- itching;
- skin rash;
- muscle spasm; or
- abnormal lab tests.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Can I take Suzetrigine (Oral) if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

Grapefruit may interact with suzetrigine and cause side effects. Avoid consuming grapefruit products.
Dosage Guidelines & Tips
How to take Suzetrigine (Oral)?
Use Suzetrigine (Oral) exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
Follow all directions on your prescription label and read all medication guides or instruction sheets. Never use suzetrigine in larger amounts, or for longer than prescribed. Use the medicine exactly as directed.
Swallow the tablet whole and do not crush, chew, or break it.
Read and carefully follow any instructions provided with your medicine. Be sure you understand how to take your medicine over the treatment course. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you do not understand these instructions or have any questions.
Take your first dose on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal. You may drink clear liquids, such as water, apple juice, tea, or black coffee during this time.
After the first dose, suzetrigine is usually taken with or without food every 12 hours.
If you have liver problems or take certain other medicines, your treatment schedule may be different. Follow your doctor's instructions.
Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
Since suzetrigine is used for pain, you are not likely to miss a dose. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Follow your doctor's instructions about what to do for your next dose. Do not take two doses at one time.
If you missed more than 1 dose, have liver problems, or take certain other medicines, your dosing schedule may be different.
If you are unsure about what to do, call your doctor for instructions if you miss a dose.
